QTW 66 - Problems loading QuickTime .MOV files (1-Aug-95)

Q Ever since I started using QuickTime for Windows 2.0.1, I haven't been able to load any QuickTime .MOV files. I get "Unable to load <File>" messages with all .MOV and .MPG files. I tried reinstalling, and I even tried going back to version 1.1.1, but nothing helped. I was not having any trouble with version 1.x, but since I upgraded I can't get it to work.

A Run Movie Player (PLAYER.EXE), and load a .MOV file from there. If this works, the association in WIN.INI is incorrect. MPEG files will not load or play if you don't have MPEG hardware-playback support.

Also, when you reinstall QuickTime for Windows 2.0.1, make sure you say "yes" to automatically deleting old versions.
